Through much of 2024 and due to a redevelopment at Hutchins School in Sandy Bay, an archaeological project undertook to exhume all burials at the former Queenborough Cemetery within the redevelopment area. Those who were exhumed have been reinterred at Cornelian Bay Cemetery. A commemoration ceremony will be held on Wednesday 11th June 2025.
